Eden Lodge is the first Green Globe certified lodge in Madagascar. It’s situated half an hour by boat from Nosy Be on the mainland in the North of Madagascar. Eden Lodge is on the stretch of coast known as Baobab Beach. As you arrive by boat, the views are breathtaking. Imagine pure white sands bordered by lush virgin forest and scattered with hundred year old baobab trees.
With no roads, no cars and only a tiny Madagascan village nearby, you really will feel like you have found your own piece of paradise. Eden Lodge’s grounds extend over more than 8 hectares. Each suite is a sensitive blend of traditional construction and luxury tent. All created in perfect harmony with the environment. Each has a king size rosewood bed enclosed in a beautifully embroidered mosquito net, a work area with an ocean-view, a safe and minibar.
The bedroom has its own private balcony, the ideal spot to kick back, relax and enjoy the unspoiled ocean-view. The bathrooms open out onto a terrace where residents can enjoy private spa treatment – each suite is equipped with a massage table in the privacy of the garden.
Local materials have been used in the construction, such as Anjanojano stone, the trunks of fallen trees and coconut leaves. Eden Lodge really is a very special place indeed and combines brilliantly with a visit to its sister lodge L’Heure Bleu on Nosy Be itself.
