Shot Cottage

Fly direct to -Nosy Be, might overnight- best in Helville area. Car rental from the  airport to Helville. The taxi from the airport to town costs 70,000 Ariary with the 7/9/11 seats VAN and 40,000 Ariary for the smallest car (3 seats).

Boat ride: 45minute from Nosy Be- Nosy Komba: Depends where you stay. The boat transfer costs 150,000 Ariary with a private charter;15,000 Ar/pers with the public ferry shared with a dozen of passengers and the last boat leaving the jetty is at 4pm.

 

Jimmy, Lodge manager, will be there to greet the guests at Nosy Be airport and help them with all the transfers.

Jimmy cottage manager is a certified guide for NosyBe and the Northern parts of Madagascar.

He will arrange your travel and food arrangements for the duration of your stay at Shot cottage.

Meals: Jimmy will purchase the general groceries, the Chef will cook all meals. Drink can be bought at the shops in NosyBe before your departure to NosyKomba

It is ideally a 6 sleeper, but can accommodate up to 12 people.

Rooms

There are 3 bedrooms all en suite with double beds. Two on the main level and one room upstairs.

There is a double bed in the lounge that has been curtained off on all sides

There are 4single beds on the veranda that can be used as beds for extra guests, but they will need to share the bathrooms in the rooms.

All rooms have their own linen and towels are provided.

Room 1- downstairs: double bed, cupboard. Bathroom twin sink toilet and shower.

Room 2- downstairs: double bed, cupboard. Bathroom with ingle sink/toilet/bath/shower.

Room 3- downstairs: double bed, cupboard. Bathroom with single sink/toilet/ shower.

Kitchen

There will be a chef for the guests which is included in the ZAR 3000.00. Jimmy will help with the shopping in town at the market and the grocery store. The staff will take them out fishing each morning as they wish to catch fish which the chef can prepare.

He will do breakfasts, lunches and dinners and picnics on request.

Fishing

The guests will need to hire a boat daily and the price will differ according to the engines they use. They will need to pay for the petrol use. Jimmy can arrange all of the boat requirements

We may have a few rods, but guests are requested to bring their own rods and tackle.

Snorkelling

There is a wonderful reef at the beach, with great coral and  variety of species. The beach is relatively private with mostly the local school kids use this  beach to and from school. Guest to bring own gear.

Hiking

A 4 to 5 hour hike over the island to the main village on Nosy Komba with black lemur sightings, restaurants and curio shops.

Camping

The staff can organise a 2-3 night camp at the Mitsio archipelagos. The cottage has a few tents, and we will need to organise more should everyone wish to camp.

Jimmy will organise the boat hire and petrol costs which will be additional.
